I have to admit, I was never a huge fan of fall growing up. Summer was my favorite time of the year. I spent my childhood chasing after my older siblings, riding my bike up and down the road, running through sprinklers, and eating a popsicle a day. Summer was such a fun and freeing time for me and I loved it so much. Fall meant winter was around the corner, the days were getting shorter, and I was going back to school. My bike was stored for the winter, and all of a sudden popsicles weren’t proper meals.
As I’ve gotten older, and as I’ve lived all around the country, I’ve been able to see fall in a new light. I still love the long, hot days of summer, but now when the air gets crisp and the leaves start to change I’m filled with an appreciation for the change.
This year I made it one of my goals to get some good pictures during peak leaf changing time. I think it was a success. Here are some of my favorites:
