20 Best Rom-Coms Ever Made

I  love a mobster movie just as much as the average 20-year old college boy sitting on his couch drinking a PBR, but what you might not know is that when I’m not watching Goodfellas, The Departed, or Scarface I fancy a rom-com just as much as the next girl.

So when I stumbled upon a story last week citing the 25 best rom-coms I knew I had to make my own list of best of the best in the comedy and romance movie department. Here are my 20 favorite rom-coms, in no particular order.

1) When Harry Met Sally

2) Bridget Jones’s Dairy

3) Two Weeks Notice

4) The Notebook

5) No Strings Attached

6) A Lot Like Love

7) 10 Things I Hate About You

8) Notting Hill

9) About A Boy

10) Jerry McGuire

11) Up

12) 500 Days of Summer

13) Love Actually

14) He’s Just Not That Into You

15) What Women Want

16) The Wedding Planner

17) Sweet Home Alabama

18) Bull Durham

19) For Love of the Game

20) She’s All That

What are your all-time favorite rom-coms?

Love actually is one of my all time faves and I have to agree with how to lose a guy in ten days from the previous comment.. I can never not watch it when it’s on. Lastly.. Crazy Stupid Love is one of my tops because… ryan gosling.

lol ryan gosling is reason enough i’d have to agree. and how to loose a guy in 10 days is also a good one! it’s actually one of the funnier rom-coms i’ve ever seen in my opinion.

UMMM HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS?! My favorite!!!!!! And what about Failure to Launch anddd 50 First Dates?! Goodness gracious my list could go on and on!

how to lose a guy in 10 days is definitely worthy! failure to launch..ehh. haha.

Love this! I went through an extensive period where I avoided anything romantic, so I actually haven’t seen a lot of these. I do love me some You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle though! And Pretty Woman! Oh, and When Harry Met Sally of course, even though I only saw it for the first time the other week!

omg!! just the other week?!?!?! say it ain’t so!!!!!! seriously such a classic! i have seen it a thousand times and it never gets old. also i have to agree with you’ve got mail and sleepless in seattle as well. there were some great rom-coms made around that time period that are just timeless!

Love this!! You’ve Got Mail, Kate and Leopold are my Number 2&3 movies of all time. ‘Stepmom’ being number 1 – but its not really a rom-com!

ahhh kate and leopold! such a cute movie!!! and step mom is a tear jerker for sure. not totally a rom-com but definitely “love” based.

I would have to say You’ve Got Mail, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride and My Best Friend’s Wedding! (Can you tell I have a thing for Julia Roberts?) 🙂

see i haven’t see runaway bride! i have seen my best friends wedding which i did like a lot. now that i look at my list and you mention julia roberts, i’m thinking pretty woman should be on the list as well.
