Best Looks of the Night: 2018 SAG Awards

I absolutely love love LOVE red carpet fashion. It’s kind of strange because I’m not overly into pop culture. I have a few shows I’m very loyal to (This is Us and Blindspot), but other then that the hollywood world doesn’t appeal to me much. Except when it comes to Red Carpets. Something about getting all dolled up in a pretty dress and posing for pictures just speaks to me.

Anyways, back in the day, I used to do best and worst round-ups on the blog of all the awards shows. I stopped doing them for a while, but I’m thinking of starting them up again – with one change.

Instead of doing best and worst looks of the night, I’ll only be doing best looks. I want this to be a space of positivity, and while I might not agree with some of their fashion choices, I don’t want this to be a space where I criticize other women in anyway.

With that being said, lets get to the good stuff! My favorite looks from the 2018 SAG Awards.

Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen

Reese has looked so good on her last couple of red carpets (she looked at the Globes a few weeks ago). This look is no exception. The fit and the cut of this gown is perfect on her. Her body looks fabulous and I love her hair and earring choice. Bravo, Reese!

Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph & Russo

Lupita absolutely lit up the carpet a few years back. Everything she wore was stunning, and everybody was raving about her style. Then she went through a couple of red carpets where I thought she was almost trying to hard (if that makes sense?). She’s such a beautiful woman with a great figure, she really doesn’t have to do much to blow people away.

I am not a huge fan of feathers when it comes to red carpet gowns – they tend to look a little obnoxious in my opinion – but Lupita nailed it with this look. The top is so simple that the feathers add that perfect amount of pizzaz without it being over the top.

Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive

When I saw Nicole Kidman on the carpet in this I literally wanted to get on my hands and knees and bow down to her. I mean, can you say movie star?! I can’t decide what I’m more obsessed with: the dress, or her stunning hair and make-up.

I had nearly given up on Nicole after a few of her red carpet choices last year, but man oh man, has she proved me wrong. This entire look is a home run. She looks flawless.

Mandy Moore in Ralph Lauren

What a babe Mandy Moore continues to be. I love the slight shimmer to this dress. Without it I think it might have been a little boring, and with too much of it I think it could have seemed a little like a 90’s prom dress. The cobalt blue looks ahh-mazing on her olive complexion, and I love her simple waves and natural lip color.
