Best Looks of the Night: 2018 Oscars

My favorite red carpet of the year has arrived! The 90th annual Oscar’s was last night and it did not disappoint.

I have to say, there were so many amazing dresses on the carpet last night. In fact, this list was hard to compile because there were just so many women who looked so beautiful. Let’s get right to my favorite looks of the night.

Nicole Kidman in Armani Privé

Nicole Kidman - Oscars 2018Nicole has looked so good this entire awards season. She made my best dressed listed for the SAG awards a few weeks ago, and she did not disappoint last night at the Oscars either. Bows were a huge trend on the carpet last night – Saoirse Ronan, Emma Stone, Maria Menounos, and Kelly Ripa all rocked bows last night as well – but Nicole’s was really “the bow seen ’round the world”. She really looks great from head to toe. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those iconic Oscars looks that is remembered for years to come.

Lupita Nyong’o in Atelier Versace

Lupita Nyong'o - Oscars 2018Lupita is a red carpet warrior and last night was no different. This woman knows her body, knows her skin tone and knows how to look great. The fit and the detail on this dress is impeccable. I heard a lot of reports saying this dress looked even more amazing in person, which is almost hard for me to grasp because I think it already looks INsane in photos. I also loved that this gown – and her hair do –  were inspired by her Black Panther character. I am literally obsessed with her and this entire look.

Margot Robbie in Chanel Haute Couture

Margot Robbie - Oscars 2018By itself, I don’t love this dress, but I 100% love it on her. She is such a beautiful woman and I think this dress was made for her. It’s sophisticated, but also fun and on trend with the off the shoulder embellishment. I’m glad she went with a more neutral make-up look. She’s so stunning she really doesn’t need a ton of make-up or a bright lip to glam it up.

Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace

Jennifer Garner - Oscars 2018OH. MY. GAWWWD. I didn’t see Jen walk the carpet so the first time I saw her was when she presented on the stage, and my mouth literally dropped open. She has this beautiful, but subtle tan that makes this color look amazing on her skin tone. Her body looks so so sooo good, and I love her simple volumous waves. Just absolutely flawless. Bravo Jen, bravo!

Gina Rodriguez in Zuhair Murad

Gina Rodriguez - Oscars 2018Another big trend on the carpet last night was nude tones. Sometimes it can be hard for someone with olive skin tone to pull off a nude dress, but man oh man, did Gina rock it last night. This dress is so beautiful and I love how simple and understated her hair and make-up are. A deep smoky eye, a bright lip, or long loose curls would have really competed with the dress and made it all a bit too much. Who ever styled her is a genius. This look is a true home-run, in my book!

Allison Janney in Reem Acra

Allison Janney - Oscars 2018

When you’re a favorite to win an Oscar you have to some dressed to impress. Allison Janney did that, and then some! This was her first time at the Oscars, her first time being nominated AND her first time winning. It doesn’t get much better then that. I love her, I love this dress, she looks amazing, Congrats to you, Allison!

I also thought Greta Gerwig, Zendaya, Gal Gadot, Jane Fonda, and Mary J. Blige looked beautiful last night.

Tell  me your best dressed from the Oscars last night!
