Best Looks of the Night: 2020 SAG Awards

…And the Red Carpet train continues! This time with the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The SAG awards is special because it’s voted on by actors. No stuffy academy, no press association, just actors honoring their peers. For that reason, I really think it’s a fun night for everyone involved!

Here’s a round up of my favorite looks!

Jen Aniston in Christian Dior

Giiiiiirl! I was so surprised to see Jen in this satin white dress! She is known for almost always wearing black (or brown a few times) with classic silhouettes, but this is soooo much more than that! I love the extra detail on on the hop and I love the subtle change in fabric at the bottom as it fans out. I am not a fan of her nipping out, buuut maybe it’s just her paying homage to Rachel Green…?

Cynthia Erivo in Schaiparelli

Cynthia is having a moment this awards season, and I am here for it! She looked so amazing at the Globes a few weeks back and this look is just as good. I love risks that still fall into the scope of being fashionable. This is 100% that.

J Lo in Georges Hobeika

I am so happy to have J Lo back on my best dressed list after that total fail at the Globes a few weeks ago. She looks sleek and stunning, and is still rocking the bow trend without it being overwhelming. I don’t mind her hair, but I really would have loved to have seen the pieces in the front pulled back just to make it look a little sleeker.

Scarlett Johansson in Armani Prive

What a babe! This type of super shiny fabric can look cheap at times IMO, but Scar Jo looks nothing but chic. This color is bewildering to me! Is it green? Is is blue? Is it teal?! I don’t know what it is, but it is perfect! I think she could have done better with the earrings, buuut I’m just being picky.

Allison Janney in Pamella Roland

I love this woman’s style. If you look back on my past recaps, I guarantee she’s on my best dressed list for 95% of them in the last 2 years. She seems to almost always wear this same silhouette (hey, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it), but she plays around with the details. Off the shoulder is almost always my jam, and the asymmetrical neckline gives it just the right about of pazazz.

Millie Bobby Brown in Louis Vuitton

This girl isn’t even old enough to drive yet. Like, OMG at how fabulous and what a woman she looks like! I LOVE a good pant suit, and they are not easy to pull off, but this is head to toe flawless. Not to mention it fits her like a glove. The simple smokey eye and the straight pulled back hair could not be more perfect. I STAN.

Sarah Hyland in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

My other favorite look of the night! This entire look is so. freaking. fun. I am very leery about big prints on a carpet, but this is fresh and young, and very appropriate for this type of carpet. She’s also getting in on the bow trend!
